Steinhart Ocean Ti 500 just turned up in the post. Really lovely in the flesh, the Ti has such a great colour and band and body seem to match well despite early bad reviews. Love the dial and ceramic bezel insert.

Don't suppose you have a normal Ocean One to compare the weight to?
I've been tempted to pick one up...

No normal ocean one, but this was 136g on my scales. Feels lighter on the wrist than the seiko srp775 I tried on the other day.

Damn I want one now

That colour is lovely, nice!

Looks great.
How does the bracelet feel? I read a review a while ago that said that the bracelet lets the watch down slightly.

That's lush

Normal Ocean One with bracelet is 181 grams.

Ta. I haz an Ocean One but I was hoping for an "it's noticeable / not noticeable" comparison. It's tough to call whether you'd notice the ~50g without having both.

It's a watch... not a full frame DSLR. :oP

I don't geddit.

Put on Ocean One. Tape 5 x £1 coins to it. That's almost 50g. Job done.

• #19567
But it's the other way around...!
Inverse shim 5x£1?

What about the fact that it just looks a bit nicer?

Right, I'm sick of shit watches so heres another one of these 'recommend' me a watch convo:
Recommend me a watch, new or second hand that is in the 500EU mark that is simple, on the pilots side with a deep, blue face for a thin wrist that can be an every day luxury.
If I had all the money in the world the decision would be made: http://www.patek.com/en/mens-watches/complications/5524G-001

At that price point stretch to a Domasko?

Seiko 7s26 regulation update: I made the tiniest adjustment I could manage and it went from -30s per day to a nicer +12s. Reckon it'd take many tries to get it much better, so there it shall stay.
*proud edit for posterity: three days later, it's shifted less than 2s in total. Crikey!

You could always save up* and buy the watch Patek ripped off:
Zenith tend not to hold their value as well.
*or borrow as interest rates are rumoured to drop.

a DA36? Yeah I really like that watch... hmmm wonder if i can find one used.
check out our website robertgatwardjewellers.co.uk and look up Rolex , or call my colleague Kevin Fuller on 01753 851669 , kevin is manager of our Rolex showroom in Windsor . we have a huge amount of stock , i cant sell one from my store as we dont have the brand , well not unless is preowned, and the only " mid size " preowned i currently have is a bimetal datejust , pink gold and steel with a pinky diamond dot dial . ....dont spose you want a very lovely deepsea ? the bimetal is actually very , very nice indeed . very nearly new , not worn and a saving of £1500 off " new " .
