Went really well. Got a new humble PB, 1:58:16 which although isn't breaking any landspeed records is 8 minutes faster than my previous. Have also learnt a few lessons:
- The shoe lacing technique @HatBeard taught me is really effective for keeping your toes away from the toe box. I was losing toenails prior to this.
- I still need better socks, they feel rough against my skin after 5ish miles.
- I'm not fussy about gel flavours and I'm sure they all contain pretty much the same thing nutrient wise. I did discover that I prefer the gels I got from @HatBeard previously as something to do with the packaging made them easier to drink. couldn't work it out and have no clue what brand they were.

How did it all go?
I took my brother to 20.5 in sub 3 pace but he faded from there. Course was a bit dull but made up for by a cracking and supportive atmosphere amongst supporters and spectators. I have had a very weird delayed hunger from it. Only really kicking in now.
