It would take more time than I am willing to waste for someone to explain what the point the disgraced former minister Liam Fox is.
(I believe it was social media pressure that forced him to drop his [medical] Dr.,
as it was pointed out it was many years since he had practised, and his CPD could not be upto date. Alternatively, it could be the 'we do not need experts', chorus from the brexitters). -

Andrea Leadsom is the only one I have no reason to wish death on yet, if only because I've never heard of her.
Having grown up in the 80s, the lack of political heavyweights in this generation is staggering. A bunch of odious nothings.

That great arbiter of all things caring and cuddly, Ian Duncan Smith, says she has "warmth, a genuinely human touch and a great sense of humour"
hope that helps

May's snooper charter and 'go back home' vans; are they genuine displays of her character on those particular issues, or just a sign that she will overreact on whatever responsibility she is handed.
If it's the latter then I am genuinely curious as to how she will work out as a PM. -

Good job we are replacing Trident then

May was also in charge of the Immigration service when there were hours long queues to get through Immigration at UK airports for UK passport holders.

Wheres the green party thread?

May calls for "a contest" (rather than the other candidates to stand aside).
So, a general election then?

Andrea Leadsom is the only one I have no reason to wish death on yet if only because I've never heard of her.
Just as an update, I've now read some things about her, and wish death on her as well. Refusing to rule out a role for Farridge was the clincher, but calling herself the heir to Thatcher and being the preferred candidate of IDS had already pushed her that direction.

Just heard George Smith, (to use his birth name) shilling for Leadsom on WatO,
proving, once again, he will never be mistaken for an 'expert'. -

Leadsom: Show us your tax return!

Good to see she's happy to lie too, gives one confidence in a politician's integrity;

Yes a PLP, even those not in the Shadow cabinet, could do a bit of opposing, and play havoc with the 5 Stooges standing for Tory leader.
But, of course, not a peep. -

Oberstormfuehrer May looks likely...
yay...
Sadly the only one that may be somewhat competent to handle this, but again an ex-banker and a rabid anti human rights / frgners type.

Scrapping maternity pay? WTH?
Well, I couldn't believe we didn't have a proper thread about this one.
Have at it with all your passion. :)
