So I noticed this crack on the chainstay on my beloved raleigh record. It was covered in mud and behind the crank so I hadn't noticed it for what I presume was while. Its pretty bad...
I also noticed another one on the head tube whilst cleaning it up.
This was all a bit of a shock, I've never had a crack before and never done anything that I would have thought would cause a crack and hence am looking for advice.
So The bike is 501 reynolds, so my thinking was to just take it to a welder (arranged for tomorrow) who could weld it up. I just wanted to know whether there was anything I should know/do as I've never had to deal with a crack before.
