I love watching the sprinters' faces in slo-mo as they realise someone else has won, the muttering of swear words under the breath, the frowns... Pathos indeed.

I'd suspect his Olympic prep stood him in good stead today. With a tailwind that would've been a very fast sprint so the extra leg speed he'll have from his track training might have made the difference.

I guess there was some thought cav would ditch the tour before the mountains to go back and train for the track. You think he is now fancying his chances on the champs elysee?

The commentator on Eurosport who isn't Sean Kelly really is a dickhead. He was so busy getting a hardon for Sagan in yellow that he didn't even notice Cav was in the race, and when it finally dawned on him his allegiances changed like lighting and he starts screaming and shitting himself! Is that actually a PAYE job that someone pays him a living wage for?

Bert's slide'n'bump from another angle, his front wheel went in the corner and he took Bookwalter with him. Ouch.

De Jongh was blaming Bookwalter for that crash when talking to the press after the stage. Clearly Contador lost his front wheel and took out Bookwalter and Luke Rowe.

Actually, Carlton Kirby had already, earlier on, picked Cavendish as the rider he would like to win the stage.

Just watched the highlights - Oof, what a sprint! Had a great big grin on my face!
