Got this a couple of years back because it was a really good deal as the guy had done it up recently and put loads of new parts on it. I knew it was a bit small but got it anyway and it’s never been big enough so I didn’t cycle it much/fell out of cycling full stop. Coupled with a couple of precarious living situations it’s spent more time outside than it should have and it’s gone to a bit of disrepair. I know a bit about fixing bikes but not loads and I’m couple years out the game so here’s the details as I remember best I can when I bought it -
Pretty sure it’s a 54 frame. Can’t find my measure tape right now to double check but will update when I do.
Raleigh frame freshly powdercoated before I got it, in alright condition apart from a couple nicks.
Some mad nice blue moustache handlebars with fresh tape on them.
Weinmann front break.
Fancy-ish Omega (?) back wheel with some nice Michelin tire. Got a fixed hub on but it’s a flip flop so you could add another on the other side, I just never did.
Seat is pretty alright too.
Basically it was a cracking wee bike, just not for me.
These days the chain has bit the dust. I can’t speak for the inner tubes/tyres. They could be fine or they might need replaced. Brakes would def need a tweak too to get them back to working properly. Generally looking a little pitted and not as shiny and new as it was.
With a couple of bits/wire brush/can do attitude this thing would spring right back to life but I’m not the man for the job so someone else can take it on. Based west end of Glasgow welcome to come and have a gander at it if these details are too fuzzy.
How does £120 o.n.o. sound? Alternatively would swap for something bigger that I could actually ride (I’m 6’2)
