I've had Eneloops for a few years, they're a vast improvement over what was available in the past, though I don't know if they're the "best".

I've plumped for Panasonic eneloops for the time being.

Who new that charging was such a big deal too? Can't just use any old charger - has t o be an intelligent charger, or you reduce the life of the battery.

I'm fond of Edinburgh Bike Coop's revolution courier series of bikes. You can go dirt cheap with v-brakes or pay a little but more and get disc brakes.

I've seen some snobbery about them around here but you're hard pressed to get a better bike for such little outlay if buying new. BSO's they aren't. They're bomb proof.

My friend had the belt drive singlespeed, was pretty impressive for the money at the time (£500), suffer from small tyres clearance tho.

I'm thinking try and hold off for the ikea bike as apparently that's in the next month or so.

Apparently delivery dates have been pushed back whilst they add a bracket to secure it to the wall.

Cross-bracing still in the works too I'll bet.

Garmin Vector Parts

Anyone have a 31.8mm -> 28.6mm shim for a 6700 band-on front derailleur? Apparently it's the same part for all of the 6700, 5700 and 6600 series mechs and I can't see why it should be much different for any other types. Happy to pay in beer!

Does anyone know the right way to put together a hirame style pump adaptor? I think mine is reassembled incorrectly because it doesn't lock on properly.

From right to left is how they're inserted into the head, and then the outer piece is screwed on, but it still hisses when I pump. What does the screw at the top do?

I know small clearances get some people on here really hard, I'm not one of those, I want a general consensus:

What does a clearance like this say?
1) This chap knows how to set up a bike really well, i mean just look at that clearance!
2) This bloke clearly has no idea what they're doing, what a novice. I mean just look at that clearance.

What kind of drop outs does the frame have.
