The brexitteers never expected to win.
They were hoping for an acceptable loss,
that would enable any PM so minded to negotiate a 'better' deal than Cameron
got earlier this year, ('thin gruel').
Now we're leaving, the 'informal discussions' banned by Juncker,
were supposed to be a means to getting some compromises * from the EU
so the various lying Vote Leave politicians could appease their followers.( * Working Time Directive overturned,
cancelling of Freedom of Movement, but full access to the EU).But the Club are saying, 'You voted Leave, so leave'.
What aim does dragging this out serve? Why is Cameron refusing to start the process? Surely it's best to get this over and done? I fear that this will drag on and on, like overtaking in a Renault Megane:
“With a mere ninety break-horse-power available, progress is too leisurely to be called fast, but on the motorway in fifth gear the Megane’s slow pace really becomes a pain. Uphill runs become power-sappingly mundane, while overtaking National Express coaches can become a long, drawn-out affair.”
