I have found a lovely condition Eddy Merckx MX Leader in my size after a long search. It's the model with chrome head tube lugs and fork crown. Frame number shows that it's a 1998 model.
At the moment it's a mix of Campag Mirage /Veloce with Zonda 16r rims and a Itm stem and bars.
I am after suggestions as to which groupset I should go for - either modern or period correct.
I have tried and failed to find a 1998 catalogue online to see what groupset they were sold with.
I am after Wheelset suggestions as well or
the Zondas right for the build?
Any thoughts or suggestions are very welcome.
