Talking to our neighbour today. She works as a court interpreter and voted leave because she says she's seen a huge upsurge in crime because of the EU. Fair enough, you have an opinion on something you feel you've experienced and you've connected that opinion to a referendum option. Whether that chain is a logical sequence or not is pretty much by the by as far as I'm concerned, at least now that the vote has been cast. The bit that really riled me is that she was proud to have prevented one of her sons from voting remain because she disagreed with it so much, so he just didn't vote in the end. Her other son voted to leave because she had persuaded him that his Lithuanian girlfriend wouldn't have to leave the country as a result because nobody who's already in the country would be made to leave. I just gave her a blank stare. Then she asked how come my Mrs isn't up the duff yet. If that homegrown garlic I gave you is rotten and full of worms I can't say I'd be upset.
So to paraphrase B&D maybe not all leavers are cunts but I think most cunts probably voted leave.
