  • Bit late to the pasta recommendations, but my fav quick meal is vongole:

    • Linguine or something like that
    • Glass of white wine
    • clove of garlic, finely chopped
    • One mild red chilli, finely chopped
    • parsley, finely chopped
    • Handful of frozen clams

Boil pasta, meanwhile throw clams in pan with some olive oil, wine on top, cover until they open, then drop pasta, parsley, garlic and chilli on top. Pepper and salt, bob's your uncle.

    And no goddam cheese, alright!

  • No. Thankfully it's waterproof and wifi controlled :).

Got another hour ish on until the sauce goes on.

Just stuck a side of salmon in there to smoke for an hour too.

  • About an hour left to go... Sauce has gone on:

  • Lovely, how was it?

I've done a total 180° in recent years and gone from being a 100% wet BBQ man to a dry BBQ guy... I think it may be time to revisit the wet stuff... So delicious and sloppy...

My fave BBQ joints in Memphis were all wet joints, Rendezvous is OK but not a patch on Cozy Corner...

  • You're making me hangry!?!

  • Whoa, top marks.

  • Good Thai place in Brixton?

  • thaicoons!

    which is in tulse hill...

    but dat name doe.

  • The one in the market / village. In the little square on Coldharbour lane.

  • what's the recommended indian takeaway in highgate area that does delivery?

  • The one in the market / village. In the little square on Coldharbour lane.

Kaosarn. Would second, it's absolutely delicious and moderately priced.

  • I thought that place was a bit meh... I always preferred Yum-D, much more down home...

  • Only six weeks before I can tuck into Maureen's pepper steak and rice and peas and a Reej burger... Much excitement!!

And cheesy beef patties all day long!!!

  • Their red curry was very nice, but I've tried the som tam at both and thought Kaosarn edged it ever so slightly by using younger papaya with more crunch. I'm a sucker for their pla lad prig though, fried fish with chilli and sweet basil.

And now I want Thai for lunch...

  • Holy Cow in Archway is bangin'

  • Off to Crete on Friday, west side, Chania area, and I'm basically planning to eat grilled octopus every single meal.

    Recommendations in general?

  • I see no need to deviate from your plan.

  • Found a central Turkish/Middle Eastern supermarket on my lunchbreak on Eversholt St heading towards Mornington Crescent; Sil and Roj Food Centre.
