London is an international city, and we want to remain at the heart of Europe.
Let's face it - the rest of the country disagrees

No no. Insular arrogance has failed as a tactic. Time to leave it behind and acknowledge the rest of the country.

Insular arrogance was not the tactic, you, of course, well know.
Maintenance of ignorance, fear, and hatred was the tactic.
