3 / 4 years ago there were a lot less options in road disc forks. Most were CX style or horrendously expensive or heavy or both.
The Wound Up met the criteria in terms of price, handling, weight and capacity (ie I'm a fat old man (85kg) and these were for touring with 10 - 15 kg of luggage.
Personally I like the distinctive look although it tends to be marmitey.
ETA It probably looks front high in the photo - combination of bad picture and hanging the bars over the fence.
Nice. Very different build that is. What is that fork about, why did you want it?
I had pretty bad problems with the seatpost on my ethos, not being able to tilt the saddle level and getting numb. Also had the stem swapped, mechanic here did not like it when i serviced it and said the bolts etc were weird / unsafe. Last week i threw an arione on. Otherwise stock.
