I agree with you, and I think the half of the country that voted leave are insane for jeopardising - maybe destroying is a better word - that standard of living. The British economy is, sorry, was, doing well.
@Skydancer is right though, this is about relative inequality. Just look at the list of areas that voted leave in order of majority, all places that couldn't be further from us remainers in London (either literally or metaphorically) and who have not benefited in the same way we have.

Have they seen the standard of living of most people in the rest of the world? People have been deluded into thinking that everyone can live like a premier league footballer, and that they have a right to it because they are fucking English.
