  • I'm sorry, but that is rot. There is a section of society affected by austerity and slow growth, but the vast majority of British people enjoy a better standard of living than that enjoyed at any other time in the arc of human history.

  • Appropriate username😉

  • A mistake printed on the side of a fucking bus.

  • Dutch right already calling for Nexit referendum.

  • This was one of the first things I read about the referendum after waking up. Such rage.

  • It's relative gap between rich and poor rather than standard of living that is the problem. It's also the relative difference in investment in infrastructure, of schools hospitals houses transport in different areas in the UK.

  • This exit is going to be very interesting.

  • Fucked, fucked, fucked...

  • 9/10 economists disagree with you. No offence but I'm going with the 9/10.

  • Have they seen the standard of living of most people in the rest of the world? People have been deluded into thinking that everyone can live like a premier league footballer, and that they have a right to it because they are fucking English.

  • So, working for an American company, I should ask for a pay rise today? #everymanforhimself

  • I hope they enjoy it when they lose their jobs and get several oversize helpings of austerity.

  • I've got two gaffs, shall I put one up for sale?

  • One of the tenants is German, shall I kick her out or double her rent?

  • No - hold onto it

  • True, I can kick my tenants out and get some English people in...I'll get tax credit and rewards from Boris right?

  • You might even get a grateful nosh from Farage

  • I agree with you, and I think the half of the country that voted leave are insane for jeopardising - maybe destroying is a better word - that standard of living. The British economy is, sorry, was, doing well.

@Skydancer is right though, this is about relative inequality. Just look at the list of areas that voted leave in order of majority, all places that couldn't be further from us remainers in London (either literally or metaphorically) and who have not benefited in the same way we have.

  • Your gaff just dropped 11% in value.

  • If you want to have a say on who is the next prime minister, join the Tory party now

  • I grew up and went to school in the north west, but unlike the dullards I left behind I realised that I could get on a train and go to London.

  • 11?
    And the rest.

  • Why 'go with' anybody, teach yourself economics. Continual growth is not possible, economics must shift to deliver a good quality of life to everyone and then maintain it. Read Schumacher and turn away from neo-conservatism.

    If you voted remain then you have a choice;
    1) Say it wasn't your fault and now we are all doomed
    2) Unite and defend humanity from prejudice, delivering a greater future for everyone in the world.

To those of you saying the standard of living is great on the whole, I agree 100%. But at what cost? War, slave labour and environmental destruction

  • These bellwhiffs had better start building hospitals and schools on a weekly basis now, that's what they promised right?
