Perhaps to make it more affordable I guess? I'd love to get the Slate but they're aren't exactly cheap.

Plus no need to worry about Lefty maintenance.

Reliability and endurance. What's the point of a road bike that has a 40 hour service interval on the shock?

And on that point:

New Habbit SE gets a Pike; fucking obvious product speccing for what is supposed to be a bike for megalolz not lyrca XC hounds.
