  • I woke up to no power this morning. RCD had tripped.

Turning everything off and back on one at a time has the kitchen plug sockets trip the system every time. I've unplugged everything in the room but it still trips.

    Any thoughts?

  • I expect its broken some part of EU regulations about the working hours of electrical sockets and other devices, and as such has had to stop its colleagues from doing the same, even against their will.

    TL:DR no idea

  • We had a problem with the socket behind the washing machine getting a bit damp and the resultant corrosion was tripping the circuit.

    Rainwater in your wiring ?

  • RCD tripping means current leaking to earth so suggests dampness. I have had the same issue with a damp wall. Suggest unscrewing the top of a socket and having a little look inside to see if there are any signs of damp.

On the positive side, may dry out and issue go away by itself.
