  • for me it was the ones on my left lower leg then it stopped, now it's the exact same area, but the other leg... hummmm....

  • Mine can be raised by different amounts depending on weather and stuff.

Hate to say it but if you've been itching them, it probably won't have helped, try applying something soothing (moisturiser, aloe vera, after sun?)

  • Yes, especially on the ones at the top of my arms/shoulders. I think its to do with the black ink that has been used.

  • I only do when I absolutely cannot stand it anymore, usually in the middle of the night, otherwise, I treat this itch the same way as I do with the healing itch... I have been using super expensive shea butter hand cream, and it seems to work better than my body lotion...

Just finding it a bit annoying really...

  • This stuff and not the stuff in the squeezy tube/bottle.

  • Might try some shea butter, had another 5 hours on the octopus on my knee on Saturday so I've got the death itch I complained about a few pages back when the hair was growing back in the last time to look forward to again. And at least once more after that as it's not nearly finished yet.

    Fuuuu....

  • Seriously - try that jazz.

  • I had it but then realised it was a patch of insect bites that I wouldn't have even noticed had they been on a clear part of skin. They made the black lines raise up on a year-old tattoo, really freaked me out.

  • Does anyone know why this happens? Just a reaction to the ink? Your skin rejecting the ink?

  • When it's really hot some of the lines of mine get raised.
Interestingly mainly the two done my Liqm Sparkes, so maybe somethin to do with certain inks and how they react to heat

  • Slight scarring of the skin would be my bet.

  • Now it's summer in Berlin you can witness once again the vast amount of utter shite tattoos people do have here.

  • @ExTra, mine get itchy (not super itchy, just mildly itchy) and raised on a regular basis, thought it was just black skin with its propensity towards keloid scarring. Mostly the one on my upper arm and the big one on my side, hip, thigh. Usually it's raised for a day or part of a day, and then it goes away...
Not sure it happens in certain parts of the year, or weather conditions but it does happen year round. But I'm used to it, and like I said the itching isn't that intense or irritating, so it never bothers me as much as it could... Just makes the tattoo feel unusual.

  • I don't get any itching but the black on mine is raised on a regular basis. From time to time I can feel the pattern of the tattoo with my fingers.

  • Exactly what I get.
    Kinda fun

  • I thought it was the shower gel I used that caused it, but it's good (if you can it that) to know it's kinda normal. It just feels a bit weird...

On a different subject, it's summer and it's showing your tattoos session like @ItkI says, whether it's intentional or not... I don't mind peole looking as I am proud of mine, but I feel really uncomfortable when people actually stop me and ask if I could roll up my jeans further so they could see my tattoos properly...

  • Dont lie, you love it.

  • Like I said, I don't mine people looking, but being stopped and asked to pretend to be a piece of art, or whatever you wanna call it, is just weird!

  • Hah Yeh. That is a strange one. Are the people asking to see your tattoos also tattoo enthusiasts, or are they the most far removed type from tattoo culture?

  • I had a cabby driving the wrong way down a one way street stop next to me, wind down his window then say that he liked my tattoos. Odd.

  • I have had both, I was waiting at a reception once and a lady next to me asked me, she had tattoos all over. Equally, I had someone who caught up with me when I was in the shop and asked me if she could see my tattoos etc, she had none...

I have also had people wanting to touch... that's proper fucking weird... before you ask, there has been both women and men...

  • I had someone stop me in the park and tell me my robot tattoo 'is amazing' (which was nice) but then called his 7year old son over to have a look and I felt slightly uncomfortable

  • Less than a month since my last tattoo and I got this. Might be my favourite yet.
