Eurovelo routes 2 and 7 run through Berlin and provide quiet routes out of the city, then you are able to make use of the numerous cycle paths that cover Brandenburg and the rest of Berlin. There are loads of nice woodland area and lakes outside of Berlin to explore, so it's feasible to simply have a rough idea of a destination and make it us as you go along... ab.so.lutely no hills though...

Yup North of Berlin has a great few routes.
There's a really nice place called Neuruppin, it's less than 80km via Oranienburg, and there's a beautiful lake there. If you take the cycle routes you will see some really, really old Germany. I passed through a village with cobbles the size of rocks.
I threw away my photocopies of the maps so I can't remember the numbers, but you will find them all signposted.
Disagree there are no hills. Across the three weeks I cycled across Germany I found at least two.

North of Berlin is good ... I'd also recommend the drive to frankfurt (oder) - then up north along Oder - and the turn west again at Kostrzyn

I can vouch for the Spreewald region of Brandenburg which is 100km south of Berlin. Beautiful area which is well worth visiting.
Hi!
I'm off to Berlin next month with my gf and are planning on touring around Berlin in the country side. We'll be taking touring bikes on the plane and carrying all our things for the 10 day trip.
We're staying in an air bnb when we arrive and then heading out to the countryside to tour around before heading back to Berlin for our final weekend.
Does anyone know of any cycle routes that lead out of the City and into quieter more remote areas away from cars? We'll be staying in a tent and hoping to do some wild camping so the remoter the better, but interesting places along the way would be great. Lakes would definitely be a bonus.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Tom.
