i ride long distances too, sprinting etc. ultra sport 2, gp4000s, gran prix 4, sworks gripton, rubino pro, shwalbe one, durano, rimbos, lugano, basically ive tried as many tyres as i can and only a few compare to the randos in terms of durability, value for money, grip in the rain and rolling resistance on shitty roads in the uk. Try it out for yourself. 25mm rando on the back always!

Which 'performance' tyres have you ridden? If all you are doing is skidding in the streets its unlikely you have pushed them to their potential.
