I never quite got why Greece was allowed to leave as everyone knew they didn't pay their taxes. The resulting mess was partially their fault as they signed an agreement that clearly stated what they were supposed to do.
But what happened afterwards with how it was handled by the EU is no shining example. But then, USA would be the same, IMF ... the same. Unless you borrow from Cuba, but you can't I believe...
Perhaps for future we just need to all Crowdfund each other and leave the banks out of it. Mad idea? Sure, but why not.

You're talking about Goldman Sachs (allegedly) helping the Greek government to cook the books to mask extent of its deficit and gain entry to the Eurozone.
Coupled with the main Eurozone powers (allegedly) turning a blind eye.

I thought that was what I was talking about but couldn't find the 'alleged' complicity.

Reading that article, it sounds like London will just become more autonomous from central government, with the mayor's office having more power, like Cuomo in NYC.
"London going independent" is a catchy headline but that's not really what will happen.

I had a good day out ta, but mainly because it was a nice ride out from Derby, up Crich and then inadvertently joined the Eroica ride on Beeley Moor. Only stayed at the festival for an hour, because mud>>>>>>>
It was up around the moors that I saw the mainly leave posters. During all previous elections, I have never been tempted before to write 'Why???' & other more direct stuff all over these banners near my home, but this time I am fighting the urge. It's got me all a bit mad & sad it has. I know I mustn't because that's naughty.

I posted it elsewhere but, as we're back on topic, here's the links between Farage and Thomas Mair:

People can change. But Farage didn't...he just wrapped the turd that is his views :/

I can't believe Farage was at school in 1981. It feels like it should be 1931.
I mean, this was after punk, and he still turned out like that. I can't trust a man who's that out of touch with social developments in his own social group.
Not that I imagine punk make big inroads at Dulwich College.

Doubtful. Although I think one of the Chemical Brothers was a Dulwich College alumni.
