Happy to fit my bike in a boot, it's not expensive nor precious. I'll be riding for Islington, although never even think about wearing club kit.
I did get a bit of a telling off for not wearing it at our Open last year, but a Large fits like a bag and the Medium turns my arms into sausages so I haven't ever bought it. I smiled and feigned ignorance we even had a skinsuit.

Happy to take you both if I can get NLTCBMBC a CTT affiliation in time, or join another club with that - though that's going to be an issue with kit etc isn't it?
Who are you guys with?
Also, I have roof bars but only an attachment for one bike. You could either get one or make sure your bike can fit in a car boot!
