So Trevor goes by the name of "Autumn Frameworks" so Dan and I used that as the reference for the paint work...
The tubes have leaf silhouettes that flow and cascade around the frame as if falling from a tree. The colour is applied using kandy... a kind of translucent paint that darkens as layers are built up over one another. Effectively all of the leaves are the same colour, only a different age and have seen more layers of paint... kind of like how leaves in real life change colour with age. The frame has smooth filets at the front and then a BB cluster and a 'shield' shape as a reinforcement for the triple triangle. This kinda marked a 'front' and a 'rear' of the frame so Dan made one half predominantly red, and the other half silver. The head badge was left raw but lacquered over. It will need some coaching because the lacquer is isn't stainless so as the frame ages, the leaf will rust and turn brown as would an autumn leaf irl. Now I've written it down it seems a bit OTT and pretentious but it's done now and I'm happy with it.
The build isn't really the most imaginative but it's all good quality stuff that I like... Thomson post and stem, Nitto bars, Phil x Velocity Blunts, DA7710 cranks and BB with an aarn ring.
I'm a big NJS fan (who isn't?) so I wanted to see some glitter... silver goes on first and then metal glitter flake gets coated all over... https://www.instagram.com/p/BCN-VSOQZIE/?taken-by=colecoatingsworkshop
