I wonder if @acharnley will comment on the heat issue? Perhaps larger heatsink could be added if necessary or maybe it was lack of airflow? If it's out in the airflow it might be alright but I plan to stick mine in a top tube bag or frame bag. Thoughts?

Did 600km brevet without stops to recharge using for the first time, the combination: SP PD-8X dynamo hub + D1 Igaro Usb converter + GoalZero Flip 20 powerbank + Garmin Edge 1000
Garmin consumed two powerbank charges (just following a track and recording). D1 Igaro sometimes appeared to be too hot to be touched, even without any USB connection in use... but still worked great charging up the powerbank. No need to use lights and usb at the same time, but will try it before the 1000km brevet.
