Experimenting in carrying just enough, have reworked my old drinks bottle belt with cheapo chalk bags to carry snacks one side and hold a gillet other. Worked quite well, not much bounce but may benefit from being stitched in place. Think a 250ml rollable bottle would fit nicely in snack pouch too for much longer/warmer training runs.
Also been using the OMM 3l bag (kindly on loan from @andy_k) which is great for holding mandatory FRA kit aswell as other bits for easy access (as opposed to backpack) but overkill for training.
Today 17miles at ave 138bpm miles 5-7 wading through knee high grass, itchy fun.
