26.0 bars with 26.4 stem is fine.

I would be very wary about bars smaller than the clamp. The clamp is that size for a reason.

Sheldon is cool with 26-26.4? I wouldnt try any other combo without a shim shimmany tho.

Inverse shim can help, especially with mismatched bars.

Couldn't find a previous thread about this (possibly stupid) query; how well does the sizes between the stem clamp (quill, in this case) and the bars match? Would it, for example, work with a 26 mm bar in a 26,4 mm clamp?
