From the 1/4 I've read so far, it sounds very akin to domestic pro racing in the UK!

Eurosport commentators don't know they're on air currently, and are talking. it's hillarious

Balls, taken down :(
I'm praying it was Carlton Kirby saying highly inappropriate things that now demand an immediate resignation/firing.
-
• #8330
Sadly not - was them discussing how to remember the pronunciation of different team names and whether it really was astana on the front of the pack

anyone got a link to a video of the finish?

Quintana has attacked with 180 kms to go on the opening stage of the Route du Sud.
-
• #8333
Bloody hell - where can I follow this? What gap has he got?
-
• #8334
Someones got to get on TV.

5 min 55.

He's with a second year pro from AG2R, Quentin Jauregui, and they had 1 min 40 seconds at the summit of the first col. But it's undulating then a long, flat run to the finish so I think he's just testing his legs, rather than racing for the win.

They're going for the stage, 11:30 up after 78 kms.

Just caught up on the Women's Tour. Nice win for Majerus there. If you're going to sprint for the line, no one better to beat than someone like Vos. Probably no chance of the yellow lasting but she's young and that's a good opener for her WT career.

It's on Eurosport from 2 pm, but that might not mean it's on British Eurosport. Anyway, streams will be available at the usual places I'd imagine.

I was joking that he attacked because his DS was bollocking them for being shit and that someone from the team had to attack from the gun to get on TV! ;)

I don't want to be mean, but if Tetrick could corner, she'd have won that.
I hope the Vittoria neutral service driver has been chucked off the race, what the fuck was he doing in the gap that close to the finish?
-
• #8344
even Kirsten Wild would've done better presumably ;-)
I don't know, but it seems in women's races even more (organisational) things go wrong than in the men's

You'll be happy today peter_v.

I finished phil gaimons book. If you haven't read it, do.
It's a good insight into the graft road to becoming 'pro'. Not everyone is bottle fed by BC.He sounds like a class guy too.

Missed it because work, but 2 great results for the Roompot team, and Kelderman of course. Now is the time for Lotto Jumbo to show some teamwork and not have their lead guy exposed. Pity Gesink had to abandon after he hit a pothole and his head.

watching Kiryenka lead everyone up the mountain, wouldn't he make a good GC rider with his TT skills aswell?

• #8349
Has everyone else just lost coverage?

Nope. Try here;
I enjoyed it alot. US domestic cycling is odd.
