I have done a pretty decent job of fucking myself up so I'm off the bike at the moment. Perhaps someone can put up a ride, Ingatestone remains un-run still. @Rod_Munch @rhowe @Ramsaye @theusualsuspects

Well done. I have the mother visiting this Thursday I'm afraid and an early start Friday so I won't be able to assist.

Ouch - heal up Matt...
This week is also a bit tricky for me but I might be able to squeeze it in if enough people are keen. What's the general consensus... Football or Riding?

Finish work at 7 on Thursday, by the time I've finished my ablutions it'll be too late for anything but footybox watching and karaoke.

I'll be watching the football this Thursday. It's not every day my people gets a change to get back at Germany. Enjoy the ride!

Don't fancy football too much - if anyone is up for the ride (and knows the route)...give a shout soon! -

Cheers. Silly accident really, hit a bump on a cyclepath while fiddling with my phone and was bounced off the edge into the ditch alongside before I could correct myself. Fortunately there was a tree in the way that stopped me from hitting the soft mud at the bottom of the ditch. And, in another stroke of luck, I landed squarely on my head, breaking my fall and preventing any really important part of me from getting damaged. On the downside my neck and shoulders hurt like buggery and there is a searing pain if I try and rotate my head more that 45 degrees each way (it was about 30 degrees yesterday so I'm well on the way to recovery).

at that rate you'll be fine by Thursday!*

But seriously, as I'm only 50/50 to be able to make it myself and 90% of the main protagonists are definitely out it's probably sensible to scratch this week rather than keep people guessing any longer.
I was eyeing next week up but then realised it's the DD already, which might put people off again I suppose. I'd be up for a sneaky TNRC or WNKR though..

I also hope you will have considered some cycle training.
Get well soon!
