  • Picked up Fluid 2 a few weeks back to replace my ageing old turbo of several winters.

Love the feel of it but I've noticed that the resistance takes a while to build up, I'm talking 20 minutes!!!!
Then when it is up, its brutal, to the extent that I'm reduced to pushing a 39-19 at 95-100 rpm on a 20 minute test. (I did a 56 in the week for a 25 so I do have an average level of fitness).

I don't mind the effort at all but the fact it takes a while to get going is frustrating especially for shorter interval sessions where I want to get on it after a short warm up.

Is this typical of fluid trainers? It seems counter intuitive that the fluid provides more resistance as it warms.

    Cheers Jon.
