• And another bike of my collection needs to find a new home since I don't have unlimited space. This is something truly special. This bike comes directly from the former private collection of the old gazelle director, Mr. Breukink. He was a fairly religious man and wanted to help the church in Brummen, a village next to Dieren where the gazelle factory was located. He donated this bike to the church. The last owner won the bike during a lottery organized by the church to raise money.

Bike is in a used condition. It has some paint flaws and damages here and there but structural in a good condition. No cracks or dents. It was used by Martin Hendriks a former Dutch Pro, his name decal is still visible on the bike. The bike has a complete chorus group and shimano cantilever brakes. It has NOS cross tires from vredestein. I tried to keep the original as possible. Cables and handlebar tape are still original. The bike came original with some Shimano RSX wheels which I have replaced with a more period correct wheelset, Chorus hubs laced to MAvic MA 40 rims.

Frame is made out of Reynolds 653 Tubing. Framenumber is 3202349 which would indicate 1978. Reynolds 653 tubing was introduced in 1989 so I think this is his 1989 season cross bike. Which would make sense since Unigarant verzekeringen was their sponsor during their 1989 season.
