  • I wonder if the pollen in Battersea park is particularly bad at the moment?I'm considering running without a garmin next time i race there.

Glad to see you saving yourself for this Saturday.

In accordance with my new 'abandoning the marathon' training programme i just did the massive session of 2 mile warm up, 4 x 400, 1 mile warm down. Made a bit of a change. 400s in 61,64,65,65, so i got the pacing a bit wrong.

  • 61?! Kinell, I think that's inside my race pace. (Which I'll probably never find out unless the B team is really struggling.)

Pollen seems to be affecting me more than ever this year. I think I'll make a point of dosing up with nasal spray before races for the foreseeable future, just in case. At least Sutcliffe Park is a little clearer than Battersea Park.

Had a pre-brekky gym session this morning, first in three weeks. 30 mins on the rower + jog there and back. Must get back into this habit, excellent bit of x-training. Planning on 4 x mile reps this evening.
