  • Holy shit that's good.

  • You're welcome.

    Tina, yes.
No facebonk or LinkedIn here, but instagram / tumblr..

  • Right. It's a different person then. I'm shit with aliases.

  • Any one do any bulk loading of film here in London?

I have the chance to pick up some Black and White Ilford P3 - 400 ISO - 100 ft - exp AUG 2010 - bulk rolls for a reasonable price if anyone wants some, quite a few rolls left apparently. It apparently is like HP5 but thinner so can tech fit more into a canister. If anyones interested let me know via pm :-)

More info on google but heres a few links - http://www.ilfordphoto.com/Webfiles/20061302117211999.pdf

  • I've got an Epson V500. With all the neg holders and things. Make me an offer if you're interested

  • So the little Canon AF Sprint works, £8 of goodness!

Also I used filmdev.co.uk to develop and scan this film and they seem to have made a really nice job.

  • Boy you do love that bridge
    ;-)

  • I do. It never bores me as the weather, sun, water, etc are constantly changing.

    Wee camera worked well anyway.

  • That filmdev.co.uk is not bad, prices-wise, if the scans are good.

  • Just got the preview scans now @ItkI and they look good so far.

  • Browsing the Foto Impex webshop..
..haven't checked in a while, as I had a lot of film stashed in my fridge and didn't need anything.

Cinestill is €10.89 now. They said they want to keep it below 10 but apparently this didn't work out..

Portra 400 is €8.29 now - getting expensive as well (were I am at the moment it's €10.50 for a roll though so won't complain too much)

Would have thought the rising prices will put people off film more and more, but I think there's actually a growing number of film photographers in the last years.
Just saw new "special effect" films by a company named Revolog on the Impex shop.. well apart from the fact that I would never use stuff like that it surprised me that there's apparently people buying it.

  • Some B+W from the £8 camera.

  • Very nice picture!
    : ]

Colour / light are amazing as well.
Is this filmdev.co.uk-preview scan as well?

  • This is one of the. Tif files, slight shadow lift in Lightroom and sharpening too.

Taken in the cameras macro mode, 45cm max focus distance and forced flash.

I sometimes think film suits flash better. Especially on camera flash.

  • Ta for the feedback, interesting.
Was there sun as well, or does the warm-ish tone just come from the Portra?

    I don't flash much, especially not people as I think it's super-annoying,
but yeah indeed it does still look pretty good on film most of the times, compared to digital..

  • It was like a sunny cloudy day.

  • I'll post a few shots from the same day without flash later @ItkI

  • Four from the same walk, minus the flash. Really happy with my filmdev.co.uk scans @ItkI

  • Nice, prices they offer seem great, going to send them a couple of rolls, how long did it take?

  • Whenever I click on "click here" to see their price list I just get an order form what are their prices like? Say for 35mm dev and scan?

  • I was £15 for 3 x 36 exposure films developed and scanned at medium res.

They were same day with the preview jpegs and a few days for the negatives and. Tif files to arrive on disk.
