If it was single skin at that part I would hammer it flat, weld the hole up then redrill it. Depends on the grade of alu though.
If it's just a beater you may get away with bashing it flat and putting a washer over the hole from the inside. I don't know how the rim is constructed though.
It will make for nice wall art if all else fails.
