You're not going to see sense but what the hell. You pay for labour, you don't pass on labour charges to the next owner. Especially if it was only your labour in the first place. I'd gladly buy the bike in bits rather than pay for you to have put your own bike together and then rode it for a year before giving it to me.

Good to know, Phil - next time I want a new bike I will buy all the parts and then PM you to come over and build the bike for me ;))
