One gimmick at a time :)
Tubeless = not a single puncture on my mountain or cross bikes in 3 years.
It's not a gimmick.

I don't run my tyres at 8psi. I only care about on the road.
Also not keen on covering myself in latex and pumping... that's for another time.

You are very kind.

Name and shame. If people don't grass up cheats they'll continue to get away with it and ruin what should be honorable.
No fucker is staying on my wheel. I got all da trix.

yeah, yeah.
It's a low key, gentleman's agreement, non-sanctioned, non-pro race. Chill out.
I was doing 5 x 5 hour energy shots in one hit all the way across new mexico, that's definitely cheating.

Getting no life out of rear tubeless (gone through 2 already) also not readily available at all,so had to revert to tubed at the rear.

Markku Leppälä also had to get a new tyre after a rock or something tore it. I think he had tubeless Pro Ones, but had to get a new rear and now seems to have a Gatorskin.

Interesting. I was thinking about running one pro, but maybe not now.

I am chill. In fact, I'm borderline asleep.
Caffeine is a monitored substance, not a banned one.

Tubeless is amazing though- using it on the front I have the best of both worlds- the rear wear was a function of too much weight and low pressure.

Fark

Amazing? How? Worse Crr, messy, might help with flats, fails and requires tubes anyway.
My front rim is compatible (not sure about the Kinlin rear), maybe I'll try one on the front and see how it goes.

They sound like a hassle but they aren't, comfort is great and the lack of punctures are the benefit.
In other news, my body is fucked -
• #1069
that guy was on the lovely MAP 650b Randonneur too :(
-
• #1070
Anything specific or is it just a general failure of body parts?
-
• #1071
Been eaten alive by fleas, mosquitos. Rancid smell. Badly sunburnt

Sad on ;)
Hopefully today I will get through the last 2 significant climbs in Colarado - then Kansas! -

Did you take sunscreen? Apply it often? Maybe there's a market for anti-mozzie sunscreen?

Kinlin XR-31 is compatible.
I can't imagine ever going back to tubes. Plan to sell off all my tube wheels before everyone else realises...

Good luck - it looks like you've got about 750 miles of downhill coming up!
