    Sounds like she is saying they are pacing each other. Even if they are riding a mile apart, it would definitely be against TCR rules* but I don't know about TransAm.

    *Other than on the first night: the way I read the TCR rules is that it is ok to ride from the start, through the night, in a paceline - as long as it breaks up by dawn. I don't think that is what is intended, and presumably if a group of 20 people hammered it across France it might not go down well, but that is what it says!

  • The Worlds last year were like that. Starting a TT with wave start is feckin' stupid. Three guys were drafting for ages.
