  • Yeah, no drafting. You ride side my side.

I don't really have an opinion on it. But if you did it in TCR, you'd get called out, and maybe checked up on that you weren't cheating.
Personally, being near someone leaves you open to wild claims. So say hello, then fuck off.

I did talk with mike before about TCR, trackers and riding close. And people will notice.
I had someone try to draft me. I told there where I thought they should go, in very clear terms, becasue they didn't understand me asking nicely that they not ride on my rear wheel.

I still remember, in the 2nd or 3rd hour from the start. I was just cruising along, happy as, and a fucking paceline (no joke) comes past me, 5 guys all drafting each other. I told mike about this after the race, because the rules had been ambiguous and misconstrued purposely by some people, to draft and gain advantage.

  • Tricky when you're similarly paced. I hate TTs where I'm near someone kinda closely paced. I pass them on the flat then they pass on a hill and this either repeats or I back off or go too hard. Either way it's annoying when you're trying to isopower an event.

  • It won't happen. Or you might be near someone for a few miles and then head off.
Riding with someone for such a long period is deliberate. And imo support.
