Got new items, Thomson Stem, my Spare Di2 6870 groupset, and a thomson collar.
Both of my wheels for some reason went out of true and now both tyres are scratching on the brakes, my fault for forcing these tyres when I know already that it's already too tight of a clearance. Might go down to 27c or maybe stick with the good old 25's , as I cant be arsed to get wheels that are slightly out of true to create this problem. Anybody interested in some 30c challenge strada biancas? These will be great on disc frames. Thinking of letting both of them go for £65 seeing that a single tyre sells for £50 brand new.

Got this a couple of weeks ago, loving it so far but that ridiculous spacer is doing my head in. Does anyone know of a source for a low stack cover for a 2012 CAAD 10? Is this correct? http://www.cannondalespares.com/Cannondale-Road-Headset-5mm-Top-Bearing-Cover--KP253/product_detail/3-40270
Also, cheap carbon bottle cages?

A novice question, are all the CAAD frame & forks in a particular range the same eg. are the frame/forks on a CAAD8 105 the same as a CAAD8 Claris? Would all CAAD10's be the same?
Thanks. -

caad 10: THey should be all the same yeh, it's just the groupset and paintjob that changes. I've heard from somebody that the fork changes once you get to ultegra and above. Not sure if true though.

Thanks, I'd hit him up just now but the thread looked dead so I needed a back up. Turns out he has loads!

No, the lower frames in the range tend to have BSA bb and aluminium steerer fork and possibly less fancy frame - Caad 8 Claris frame is 'Aluminium' 105 version is 'Optimised 6061 Aluminium' - I've no idea of the real world difference. My winter bike is a Synapse Claris frame with 11spd 105 and it's a cracking bike. You can see the specs on the Cannondale site.

Small update of the Slate, I've managed to drop the weight at 8,8kg (size Large) by changing a few things and going tubeless.
It's an awesome bike, worth every euro and every bike I had to sell. I've been very frustrated with my CX, which didn't inspire me any confidence in technical trails, the Slate really is a good answer, forgiving my average, mediocre skills.
The panaracer tires are very good on the road and dry trails, in the mud it's another story, I really like the uncontrolled skid feeling but I might consider some Schwalbe G-Ones if the weather doesn't change...IMG_9586 by gouache bricole, sur Flickr

Such old jokes. Your pound is weaker than a builders tea.

How the hell do you thread the top tube rear brake cable?
