called someone out this morning at Kennington Park Rd/Kennington Lane/Newington Butts junction. 4/5 cyclists including me waiting at the lights, guy on a hybrid decides he knows better and wobbles though. there was a big lorry half blocking the junction so you wouldnt have been able to see any traffic turning across you until too late. I did a slow hand clap accompanied by "well done, dickhead" which resulted in him turning around 3 times trying to work out if he was the subject. yes, yes you are.i do wonder at the mentality of it. firstly you're travelling really slow and obviously not in THAT much of a hurry, so why bother jumping the junction? but more than that - if there's a growing amount of other cyclists who are already waiting at the lights, why do they not apply to you?
