booo, solid ceiling required. I'm guessing i'd crack my whole plaster ceiling thing in my flat if I tried using this, right? (what was your ceiling setup sorta thing?)

I have one of these - think a solid ceiling pretty much much required - puts quit a lot of strain on when you press the pedal to lock it in place.

I have one of these too. No solid ceiling, I may have been lucky and it's against the beam, but then I moved it twice and it's all good.

My ceiling is solid, yeah. Never tried it on other types.
Once you get it to about the right height you push the little pedal at the bottom and it pops up into place. As Brookly pointed out its literally wedged in between the ceiling and floor.
itpit doesn't seem to have any problemos though?...

mate, just saw this now and wont bother the neighbours at this time. WIll take a rubber mallet to the ceiling and tap away to see if I can find a beam or sumthin where I'd want it. If I get lucky, will get back to you.

I'll take this, if it's still available. My flatmate doesn't understand why multiple bike are needed. Message en route

Looking for £40 only! Cheapest online is around 110.
Pickup only, near Victoria. Cash or paypal is good.
Ideally would shift this weekend.
Comes with two hooks but one of them doesn't stay in place on the central pole. I think I may have overtightened it or threaded it on wonky. Might be fixable but I haven't bothered to try. You can easily buy a replacement online for about £20. Couple of small scratches/paint on the central black bit. I have to say it works fantastically, its just so solid and adjustable. It really was a lifesaver when I didn't want to do any drilling.
