Good point I forgot the stems were often long. The BB isn't low, just lower than my 90's konas.

Very nice, what's the frame?
I build the frame, fork and front rack.

Here's my trusty old winter commuter, further functionalized by dynohub + lights yesterday.
Edit: cable routing could obviously be neater past headtube and along fd cable etc. OTOH that level of caring would mean I'd have to start thinking about logo removal and a respray.

Could you give a shot of the crank arm clearance next to the chainstay?
Thanks!

Then again, virtually any bike looks good in Marin County.

@kati got bored with super functional downtube shifters after using Ultegra 6800 on the carbon plastic fantastic bike, spend ages trying to find out the best way to get decent shifting/braking performance with great reliability and durability.
Turn out 10 speed Campagnolo Veloce and 8 speed Shimano drivetrain work brilliantly (technically Tiagra is 10 speed, but same cable pull as the rest of the Shimano).
Campagnolo Veloce is also cheaper than Shimano Claris, another bonus.

I've been thinking about putting a similar set-up on my Elephant

It work great, think of it like brakes levers pull, long and short pull (canti and V).
The only issues is that upshifting is a mite stiffer than with Campagnolo derailleur, like how a canti feel harder to pull with v brakes levers.
She rode it through London and although did says it felt stiffer than the much lighter shifting of 6800, she have no problem with it.
I'm gonna get more Veloce shifter as they're bloody cheap on trade (£45), and got lots of old cheap Shimano component lying around to build up a bike.

I had bought a B&M rear dynamo light for my genesis, which had an integrated reflector and was designed to to on the back of a rear rack. I rarely use a rear rack so I got a new light and knocked up this bracket.

Does this count as functional? It's already been in the frankenbikes thread.

It looks very exposed down there.
Why don't you use the eyelet up on the seat stay?
