New Cinelli Build - Selling due to moving away

Posted on
  • Hey Folks,

I am selling my Cinelli Gazzetta, which I recently built. All the parts were brand new and I have ridden the bike a handful of times so it is as new. Build detailed below:

Cinelli Gazetta frame + Forks (Medium 57")
H Plus Son Achetype (Black) (64 spokes split between front & rear)
DiaCompe Grand Comp Front & Rear Hub
    Panaracer Rimbo Tyres
    Dia Compe CB-2 Headset
    Miche Primato Advanced C/Set (Black) - 170mm / 49t
    Selle Italia Flite Classic seat
    Wellgo Black alloy pedals
    Restrap Horizontal Straps
    Shroom brakes (black)
    Black Goldfiner break
    VAI Stem

I think that is most of the major parts but can tell you about any part of the bike and still have receipts so you will have warranty on everything. The only thing that is slightly worn is the front rim from using the front break but I think everyone has this problem with black rims.

Looking for around £1,200. It cost me around £1,400 to build. Call me on 07525457852 to discuss.

    Cheers!

  • Here we go

  • From the other thread:

Looking for around £1,300. It cost me around £1,500 to build.

If you make enough duplicates, we'll eventually reach the price it's actually worth.

  • Well I am open to offers. It cost 1,500 to build so considering I have ridden it a handful of times I felt that was fair...

  • Pro tip: that's not how it works.

  • Clearly!!!

  • Your new here aren't you.

  • The reality is that these framesets are £300 new. No one on here thinks they couldn't build a far superior bike to yours (taste being subjective) for the £900 difference.

If you listed this build for £600 on here, it wouldn't trigger a buying frenzy.

  • can you give us a piece by piece price up? If you've spent £1,500 on this that's quite incredible.

  • Can I see a part by part cost breakdown please?

  • The anodization on the Archetype rims must wear off pretty quickly considering it's only been ridden a handful of times.

  • Strewth people are harsh on here... although £200 off the bought everything new price is slightly asking for it.

  • lol, it's now £1,100 on the other thread.

  • I think most people are struggling to find where the £1500 build price came from. Frame is £300, wheels are £300 - the other bits don't add up to £900.

I'd imagine it cost <£900 total to put together ?

  • I know I know... but he doesn't sound like much of an expert, probably paid for it to be built etc. I know its still a struggle but folks are maybe a bit harsh.

    It does, in fairness!

  • HA HA mellowing in my old age...

  • I have sold to a friend. I will take all your comments on the chin as I am new to this and most def not a bike pro (someone suggested I put it on here), hence my reasoning with price.

  • Was it the same person you sold it to?
