Nice. I have a weekend to myself and have just set up mics and amps in the living room. But am now watching guitar vids on youtube and contemplating beer.

Dangerous scenario... I've been mansick for two weeks, haven't had a drink in seven days...

^^ Can't work out that amp stack, it looks as if Wilko Johnson's making an LP with Dick Dale.
*Oh, thread read fail. Ah, right. Looks loud, and splashy. Bravo.

Ha! That was exactly the vibe. MAN it was fun.
Had a couple of beers and recorded some shit. It was shit. Ate some meat. Had a nap and a half-hour shower. Now going out to a 40th with a hip flask of very nice hootch in my jacket pocket.

Nifty Aqua. Well sharp.

It's one of the early Korean jobbies, plays nice... Might try lowering the bridge a smidge, the action's a tiny bit higher than I'd like above the twelfth fret... Not a mark on it, looks brand new... Nice to have a bass again... :)

Shit son that is super nice what scale is neck?
-
• #4143
Standard Gibson scale, looks like a travel guitar cuz the original Mosrite necks are so much skinnier... Proportions are all off now... So cute...
Played it through my Solton tonight and it sounded incredible, shame the higher frets aren't very accessible cuz it's killer... Not for shredding, it's a punk rock machine... The Mick Brierley P90 may sound better than the original one in my '58 Junior which is pretty amazing...

I got it running the best it's ever sounded, rolled the volume off to about 6 then used my Mk1 Guv'nor for full skronk... Bloody great sound...
I think I'll take my old Junior to our gig tomorrow night, easier to hit those really high notes than on the Custom and the Solton seems to like P90s more than humbuckers anyway...
I thought we were the opening act, turns out we're headlining... First proper gig... Bit scared, it's been a while... 😬

Jose - this thread is useless without clips

We filmed last night's gig, will put a link up once the bass player's put it up... Sound guy made me turn down to 3... 3!?!
My sound was compromised but we had a lot of fun, I could not hear a fucking thing apart from an occasional very twangy sound which made me double take and check that my Guv'nor was actually on... Quite disconcerting... Lovely to play the Junior out, such a great guitar...

Way too fast, way too drunk... 😉

Stompin! Epic ending. Wah death.

Thanks, guys! I fucked up the intro to the first song on that clip, not used to playing it on the Junior... In other news...
Just picked up a Marshall 1960 Classic 4x12 for less than £75!?!
Just need an angled cab now for a full stack... ;)
I'm just using the cab. That's a fender reverb, into a Twin head into the H/H 2x10. I think it has Jensens in. Played a custom shop tele (signed by Wilko Johnson!). Broke out the new pedal board for slap and vibrato (and some fuzz). It sounded amazing.
