Yesterday, I rode to TBW and it was ~75k. On the way back I thought I'd follow the Garmin and it was making the route over 100k. I've had it double the actual distance before, turning 100k return ride straight down the A40 into a massive 200k hoop.
It can do a 'return home' or a track back which will send you back the way you came.
