  • Yeah. Plus Garmin failures, all the fun off road sections I'd planned in France being Mud-fests requiring re-routing, and the tyres being totally fucking useless and it all added up.
    I was having quite a bit of fun up till mile 51 on the French side.
    (actually the 10 miles or so before we hit the urban sprawl (and were forced to avoid the riverside bike paths) were pretty lovely.
    But for comparison's sake- Ho, Architect and Death Drive absolutely smashed out a ride that was only about 10 miles shorter in total (after accounting for garmin's lack of recording effort)- in one day.

    At least your Di2 battery didn't go flat ;)

  • Both had incredibly low periods.
    Ended with getting off the Eurostar to another tyre related failure- which was hard to endure.
    The spare day in Paris sorted most of the low periods out- hard to go wrong with steak tartare and all the speculoos spread in the world.
