Had a mad one yesterday.
Drove out to Valldal to ride to trollstigen. Weather was amazing. Only 8C at the top. But felt much warmer on the actual climb.
Did my first climb. Bit of a mess with yraffic issues and losing stuff from my back pocket. But power wss up regardless.
Pushed a bit more on the second and set a new PB.
Stopped to fill water at the cafe at the top and bumped into Mike Cotty filming for the Col Collective. I spend my winter suffering on a turbo watching this guy. So was a bit shocked to see in my summer training playground. Really nice bunch.
Popped down for my last rep. Rode all the way to the highest point and started the fast descent to the car.
First corner. Hit some gravel. Lost my line. And when i grabbed the rear brake it locked up. It had done this the night before. So i fucking knew it needed looking at. Just had enough time to think 'this is going to suck'
Had to force the bike around. Hit the deck and slid for a bit before hitting the barrier. Gotta be better than going over it.
Got up. Checked bike. And rode on. Stopped down the road after id calmed down and realised i was scratched up but fine.
Eventful day.
