  • I think Emery was just too much of a gamble for Moshiri. Sure Emery has done very well at Sevilla and Valencia but it hasn't all been great. Sevilla didn't win a single away game all season in La Liga. Granted they won the Europa league multiple times but Moshiri will have eyes on consistency and moving up the league table. I think it was just too much of a risk to take on a manager who doesn't speak much English and who couldn't set his team up to win a single away game in La Liga. Emery is undoubtedly a talented manager but I'm not sure how well he'd adjust to the premier league. I don't think La Liga is as competitive as the Premiership and unfortunately players wield far more power here than on the continent. Something I'm interested to see how well Pep copes especially coming from Germany.
