My Crosscheck a work in progress (might have to start a thread in current projects) which has become a kid carrier mostly. `mismatched wheels and heaps of steerer spacers but Lots of fun to ride.
Thinking a soma deluxe rack would be perfect for this , initially was planning to get some tubus duo lowriders for front panniers but haven't got around to it just cable tied the crate to the nitto rack to carry stuff in the mean time.

Just posted this is functional bikes but I feel the need to post it here too!
Provisionally finished my Straggler recently. Still a few quirks to sort out but this machine is a revelation and I'm loving every single ride...

Lovely. I particularly like the prop stick detail and clingy on plant.
Is that a carradice Nelson? I'm considering getting one for my cross check.
Also, any reason for having the rear wheel at the front of the rear drop out? I don't have the little screws for mine so I'm currently placing the rear wheel against the back of the drop outs (I'm used to vertical so this is a new thing for me to think about).

Thanks for the kind words. I think the plant is still on there currently!!
Its a Carradice barley! Great bag and a good size - not too big. I got it when I visited the factory.
I have the rear wheel like that for ease of removal. It acts like a normal vertical dropout. I feel the horizontal parts are only necessary for SS/Internal hub gear builds.

Right, thanks. I need to investigate the Carradice range some more; I think I may still have the one I bought decades ago but not sure where it is.
See what you mean about wheel removal. I will invest in those little screws for mine.

I don't like the tyres with the new paint. Not sure what to go for though. Paging style consultant @lightbluejosh
Suitable for touring a must.

Compass Stampede Pass, Black
Hey Mark, I got your PM but thought I'd respond here for the benefit of anyone else who may be interested. :)
@JB is correct, those are Ortlieb Front City Roller pannier bags, 12.5l each side. In that setup they're fitted to the Soma Porteur rack.
Here's another shot that shows the rack and bags individually:
The pannier bags are totally standard for any pannier rack. I use them now with a Tubus Duo lowrider and my girlfriend uses the same bags on her Tubus Fly rear rack.
