Is Hodgson going to try and force Rooney into the team for competitive games as well?
Every time they go to a tournament they try and shoehorn in someone who really isn't up to it, playing a reputation rather than a player.
I'm aware this isn't a unique POV as there's someone on BBC R4 making the same point now, but it's just exasperating.
