  • Hey guys, Im not new to the forum but for some reason never ventured to the photography section! Nice to see some still cranking through it! Im currently digital cameraless at the moment so had to rely on film for photographing my mates art exhibition he did last weekend. Its a shit load of fun to buy a roll of film and then have it developed and scanned by that afternoon! Anway enjoy. :-) Ilford XP2 400 shot on an OM-1n with 50mm 1.8

  • Loving that 3rd one, look like a scene from a surreal dream. Ace.

  • I had a couple of unusable rolls due to spacing problems (I think it was user error as it's OK now) or development troubles (don't drink in the darkroom), and I haven't scanned the rest because either I only needed to look at the negs or because they're obviously shit (I'm still no good at composing on 6x7).

I did scan some shit ones anyway

  • Last one is perfect. Stunning shot.

  • Agreed, that last shot is really nice.

  • last shot is unreal.
    so cinematic.

  • Forgive the digital shot, I bought this little Canon AF sprint from eBay as mint condition but I'm having trouble working out if it is actually auto focusing? Does it actually auto focus or is it fixed focus?

  • I can't hear it doing much auto focusing.... unless it is ultra fast and ultra quiet :(

  • ..proof of pudding in the eating I guess?

    : ]

  • If it's anything like the Nikon AF2, then it's probably working fine. The focus seems mechanically linked to the shutter button and stops at the appropriate scale. It's hard to describe but yeah, it's nothing like modern in-lens focusing, noise wise.

  • Thanks guys, I'll just have to develop the roll and see what I get.

  • Ha, I just wrote a review on the L35AF yesterday, and did try to describe how long the travel of that shutter button is, how 'mechanical' it feels, and that you're moving that funny focus indicator needle with your push of the shutter as well.

@mi7rennie ..don't know how they put the lens in focus exactly, but it's really common with these cameras. I used quite a lot of those 35mm point-and-shoots, the focus indication lights up like immediately and you don't hear a thing before the shutter goes down..

  • Where can we read said review?

  • Should be up on japancamerahunter.com sooner or later.

Here it is on dropbox if you like to read it now.

  • Been a while since I've spammed some holiday snaps... Hexar with cinestill...

  • Just bought 2 rolls of Cinestill 800... can't wait to go nuts on the tube.

  • Yeah..

..subway portrait is nice as well!

  • Nice shots

  • Dont know if I should start a separate sales thread for this but I have 190 empty 35mm canisters that can be reloaded if people on here bulk load 35mm film.

    £10 for 50 (including p & p). Message me if you're interested.

I over ordered after deciding to bulk load a 1000 foot roll of Fuji eterna motion picture film.

  • chris that tube one is nuts, was it shot at 400 or pushed? surprised its that sharp/steady at 400!

  • Anyone want a non workin Ricoh gr1.
Not sure what's wrong wid it but if you wanna give it a shot repairin or for spare parts lemme know

  • for free? sure ;)

  • I'd be up for it if HPx93 doesn't, might be a fun summer project
